"2010 Endless Combination Contest" on PR

I'm a bit picky at wearing pants. RTW I only like Jacob Connexion, H&M so far. This is the 6th piece for my Endless Combination. Fabric is wool/polyester suiting. Color is kind of brown/purple tone. I bought 3.5m for just $12 enough for making 1 pants, 1 suits and 1 dress. Of course my size doesn't require alot of fabric.

This pants was cut as fitted, straight and cuffed legs, 2 side pockets, 3cm waistband overlap closing with 1 button. Knowing the basic cutting technique is really help me alot on those designs. And man, it fits like a T.... Can't complain about that. As usual I chalked directly on fabric. This pants will wear with rayon sleeveless shirt, or chocolate knit top WITH / WITHOUT pink suit

RIDING JEANS

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 9:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Fall ... Jeans and Boots ... yeah....

I bought this piece of jean fabric last week. Super stretching. The design based on horse riding jean, tide legs but loose upper thigh and hip. The length is 3-inch upper ankle.

Based on superstretching , the waist band was designed like yoga pants, 2 layers and elastic was stitched in between 2 layers at the top seam so can slip in easily. Front legs were cut like 2 pieces, created fitting and styling also. The bottom of back legs were appliqued  small triangles and top stitched like quilting.

    So what do you think?

Your comments are always welcome!!!

Printed Knit dress Shorts

Posted on July 24, 2010 at 9:50 AM Comments comments (1)

This is the second one I've done early of this month.

I had no idea how to name this style.

Anyway I called Shorts

The front ... like halter dress. Elastic waistband.

The back ... pretty much nothing at top as the whole back free-falling down from front burst's sides  to waist area.

2 side pockets.

In this photo I wore with neon orange bikini. Love the color.

I know I should have had a photo for the back but my camera's battery was runout. Lucky that I still got this shot :)

Shorts are my favourite for summer too.

Recently I made 2 pairs of shorts.

Here is one.

Fabric is white twill. Quite simple, 2 side pockets, over shoulder and tie in the back, 2 1/2 inches elastic waistband.

Here's my favorite golf shorts for summer. I made it almost 3 years ago. It was plaid cotton. I added decorated elastic at the waist band and knees for contrasting. 2 sidepockets and 2 in the back. Beautiful for golf.

Posted on March 8, 2010 at 2:10 PM Comments comments (1)

This is really challenged myself. We could not find any big size (bigger than XXL) in sport stores. Then I decided to make one . Waist 50-55''. 2 zipper side pockets, 1 back pocket

Fabric:  3m wateproof nilon white and red (sale price CAD$2 per m)

                 2m lining (sale price CAD$.99c per m)

Thinsolate: 2m - sale price CAD$10 per m - 60" width

Elastic: 3m - CAD$5

Zipper: 2

Time: 5 days (15-20 hours in total) to finish

And here we go .... JOB WELL DONE. Ended up good and comfortable. We went skiing 2 days in Blue Mountain and Dave was very happy with the pants. Soft , warm and comfy.
