"2010 Endless Combination" Contest on PR

This is the last piece I made for the contest. I used the same fabric of the suit pants I made. $3/m was so cheap for a nice fabric and especial the perfect color. I bought 5m. (After this I still have anough for a long boyfriend suit which can be able wear like dress suit. But that is not for this contest.) Also I used diamond sheer fabric for the dress's styling and matched with my blouse.

  • Fitted upper bodice and A-Shape lower part
  • Front bust's center, shoulde front and back was gathered. Edges were narrow rolled hems by serger machine
  • 1-inch folded matching sheer strip for hem
  • Lined with plum satin lining, the front and back at top part were line by the same dress's faric.
  • The flowers on bust's front made from plum satin and sheer fabrics. Round cut and burned the edges by candle (it would be nicer if they were cut by laser) with 2 sizes (1/4-inch difference) which were paired/each, folded in quarter and stitched at the end points on bust's front.
  • The side pieces were cut out for styling and adding inside pocket, but then I changed my mind as I did not want spending more time for pockets.
  • 50cm length covered zipper at back's center.

And that was it. I'm done. After this I think I should take a break from sewing even my sewing's corner in my basement is ready for moving down (it's been upgraded more than a year and pretty much done this week). Nice to wear with Pink Suit.

Wonderful wardrobe. It is feminine, but still tailored.
