French stitch is applied when you don't want to show sergered lines or garments edges especially for organza, nilon, polyester ...
Here is how to stitch
- Gather 2 wrong side edges of garment faced to each other, right sides are outside and stitch 1/4-inch from the edge.
- Trim the stitching edge around 1/8-inch or as you desired
- open the garments and iron at the stitching line (both sides)
- Flip over to gather right sides of the garments faced to each other, stitch 1/4-inch on the wrong side (make sure the garment edge in between).
- Iron both side again.
Voila ... you have a nice and clean hem
