French stitch is applied when you don't want to show sergered lines or garments edges especially for organza, nilon, polyester ...

 

Here is how to stitch

 

  1. Gather 2 wrong side edges of garment faced to each other, right sides are outside and stitch 1/4-inch from the edge.
  2. Trim the stitching edge around 1/8-inch or as you desired
  3. open the garments and iron at the stitching line (both sides)
  4. Flip over to gather right sides of the garments faced to each other, stitch 1/4-inch on the wrong side (make sure the garment edge in between).
  5. Iron both side again.

Voila ...  you have a nice and clean hem
